Young people from Peer Power and Leeds Youth Justice Service present in Lancashire

Young people from Leeds Youth Justice Service (YJS), Peer Power Board member Natalie Atkinson and CEO Anne-Marie Douglas presented at the pan-Lancashire Youth Offending Service Away Day on the subject ‘”Involving young people in service design and delivery”.

Young people from Leeds YJS talked about why they got involved with their participation group and the changes at the YJS and the wider Local Authority as a result of their involvement.

Senior Youth Offending Team Manager, Carolyn Entwistle wrote to thank all presenters after the event, and said, “…you have re-energized the work we are undertaking with User Participation with lots of ideas being generated that we will be taking forward, and we had excellent feedback from staff including:

‘Very motivational and inspiring’ 

• ‘Great inspirational presentation by young people’ 

• ‘Inspiring and reminded me to listen’
