06 Apr Peer Power deliver participation training to Pan-Merseyside Youth Offending Services
Anne-Marie Douglas and two young people co-delivered training on, ‘Improving the Participation of young people in youth justice service design and delivery.’
Delegates came from Pan-Merseyside Youth Justice Services including St. Helens, Liverpool, Sefton, Cheshire East, Cheshire West, Halton, Warrington and the Wirral.
As part of the training, young people with lived experience of youth justice services, and participation led their own sessions, and interacted with delegates in addition to a Q&A session.
One attendee from Knowsley emailed after the course with a message for the trainers:
“This is one of the best and most useful training sessions that I have been on because I am a practical person and need to directly apply what I am doing to make it “stick”.
