Big Give Challenge Events

The team at Peer Power Youth will be raising money for our Big Give Christmas Challenge campaign. All donations will be going towards Peer to Professional, our employment-readiness programme. They are taking on different activities throughout the campaign week and all have a target related to the number 12 (or any of its variants such as 12, 122, 1222) to reflect the issue of unemployment and not being enrolled in education among young people who have experienced childhood trauma.

When young people start working with us, only 12% are in employment, education, or training. But, within 6 months, this figure rises to 93%.

Throughout the programme, young people participate in numerous workshops where they improve their soft skills such as public speaking and networking, increase their knowledge on areas such as financial literacy, and receive cv and interview support for job applications to support them into education, training, or employment.

All donations must be placed here from December 3rd midday to December 10th midday.

Rocio (she/her)

Rocio is our Fundraising Manager and will be putting her cooking skills to the test as she will be making 12 Spanish omelettes for some of her neighbours she’s never met before. Her passion for sharing the cuisine of her home country with others really excites her and even more when it is for a good cause!

Nic (she/her)

Our co-CEO Nic will be offering 12 pro-bono coaching sessions as she is about to receive her professional certificate in executive coaching. If you want to get coached by Nic please get in touch with her as soon as possible at admin@peerpower.org.uk.

Kloe (she/her)

Kloé is our Youth Engagement and Partnerships Manager. She plans to put on her walking boots to walk her dog Miko for 12 miles. Kloé loves being around nature and can’t wait to explore more of the Sussex countryside as she completes this challenge!

Anne-Marie Douglas (she/her)

Anne-Marie is our founder and co-CEO who will be spreading the love this festive season by sprinkling 12 acts of kindness around throughout the campaign week.

Amy (she/her)

Amy is our Senior Youth Worker who will be reading 1222 pages for the campaign. She loves to read but cannot remember the last time she finished a book! She is looking forward to this kicking her back into novels, poetry, and deep diving into some interesting theories.

Jordan (he/him)

Jordan is our Head of Communications and Marketing and will be running 12 miles. Jordan loves being outside and wants to attempt running a half marathon for the first time!
