We are pleased to announce the launch of Peer Power Youth’s Impact Report 2022-23 and Trustees Annual Impact Report and Accounts.
Despite a challenging year, we have not lost hope and determination. We are as committed as ever to our core values and mission, and continue to persistently deliver on projects, bound by a shared resolve to make a positive impact.
“Our Peer Power Youth community continues to serve as a beacon of hope and a heartbeat for change”
The young people within Peer Power Youth are a continuous source of joy and motivation for us.
Throughout 2022-23 young people shared their insights and experiences to inform the health system in London in the NHS Violence Reduction Programme (VRP) (page 8) and shaping service delivery across Health and Justice (page 10).
We delivered at a total of 8 secure welfare and justice settings around the country (page 15), and in the Healthcare Standards in Secure Settings we worked to ensure the child’s voice shaped the development of the refreshed standards (page 16).
Highlights from the year include the House of Lords event, marking our sixth year anniversary (page 11) and the Annual Awards 2022 o acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of Peer Power Youth, Young Partners (page 18).
Through presentations and public events, Young Partners at Peer Power Youth presented to 170+ professionals working across healthcare, justice settings, local authorities Members of Parliament (MPs) and more. They also delivered to 30+ young people aged 10-21 years old in community settings across London (page 20).
“What stands out to me about Peer Power Youth is their commitment to not just discussing co-production but actively implementing it”

About Peer Power Youth
Peer Power Youth is a national charity that does vital work to support young people dealing with trauma.
We care for young people, sometimes at the most difficult times in their lives, and we give them the time they need, for as long as they need.
We build on strength and lead with empathy, which means that we know what’s needed to build trusted relationships and improve support services, because many of us have had similar experiences.
